CHECK-OUT

Check-out time is 11am.

Should you wish to explore Aberdeen a little longer, we are happy to store your luggage securely.

Late check-out (subject to availability) is available until 4pm (£30.) After 4pm, a further night’s stay will apply. Please speak to Reception to arrange. Dial 0.

CONFERENCE & EVENTS

We offer a range of meeting and event spaces, accommodating between 8 and 300 guests.

If you would like to view our facilities during your stay, our team would be delighted to arrange a showround.

FANS

Most rooms are equipped with a portable fan in the wardrobe.
If one is not available, please contact Reception by dialliing 0.

FIRE SAFETY

In the event of a fire alarm, a continuous siren will sound. Please evacuate immediately using the nearest exit.

Escape route plans are located on the back of your bedroom door. Please familiarise yourself with the nearest exit.

Assembly points are located:

  • On the grassed area to the left of the main entrance
  • At The Pergola (Granite Suite side)
  • In the main rear car park (accessed via Queens’ Lane South)

The fire alarm is tested every Tuesday at 10.15am.

FITNESS ROOM

Located on the lower ground floor near Reception.

Your room key card can be programmed for access — please see Reception.

Opening times:
Monday to Friday: 8am – 8pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 8pm

HAIRDRYER

Located in your desk drawer or wardrobe.

HOUSEKEEPING

Rooms are serviced daily unless you display your Do Not Disturb sign.

Bed linen is changed after the fourth night of your stay. Should you prefer more frequent changes, please let Reception know.

If you choose not to have your room serviced, simply contact Reception should you require fresh towels, toiletries or refreshments.

IN-ROOM SAFE

Located in your wardrobe. Instructions are inside the safe.

LIGHTING

For rooms 1–54, lighting operates via the energy-saving device beside your door. Insert your room key card to activate power. Remove it when leaving. For rooms with conventional switches, we kindly ask that all lights and appliances are switched off before departure.

Please remove your key card from the energy-saving slot when leaving your room.

PILLOWS

Your room is prepared with non-allergenic microfibre duvets and pillows.

Should you prefer duck down, feather or memory foam pillows, please contact Reception by dialling 0.

POWER SUPPLY

UK voltage is 230V. If you require an adaptor, please contact Reception by dialling 0 (subject to availability).

RECYCLING

We are committed to reducing waste.
Please leave bottles, cans and newspapers beside the bin for recycling.

SMOKING

The Chester Hotel is entirely non-smoking.
A charge of up to £250 will apply if this policy is breached.

All Freeview and local channels are available.

TOILETRIES

Your bathroom features premium toiletries from Gordon Castle, presented in fully compostable packaging.

Formulated without palm oil, artificial fragrances, colours, parabens, glycols, sulphates or petrochemicals. Fragrance comes solely from plants grown in the Castle’s walled garden.

Should you require additional items — including toothbrushes, shaving kits or sewing kits — please contact Reception.

A selection of Gordon Castle products is also available to purchase.

TOWELS

If you are happy to reuse your towels, please hang them up.

If you would prefer fresh towels, simply place used ones in the bath or shower.

An additional set of towels can be found in your wardrobe should you need them.
