Classic rooms give a little luxury…and so much more
Classic. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the definition of the word is something of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind.
Looks like we hit the nail on the head when we christened our entry-level rooms with this moniker. And the latest additions to our range of classic bedrooms certainly live up to the name.
If you’ve stayed in one of our classic rooms previously, you’ll already be familiar with the luxurious little touches on offer. These rooms may be entry-level, but they just give so much…more.
A full renovation of the new extension – housed within a series of listed buildings – means that no two rooms, regardless of where they sit on our scale, are identical.
Some have retained many of the original decorative features, such as ornate cornicing, while others have a quirky shape that has forced us to think outside the box when it comes to layout and styling.
You’ll find light carpets paired with splashes of bold colour and patterns and bespoke furniture crafted in clean lines. Lighting that sets the mood whether you’re a business traveller focusing on work, or a couple spending time cocooned in luxury.
But what all classic rooms in the new part of The Chester Hotel deliver is a light and bright colour palette that gives them an airy feel – a stunning contrast to the slightly darker and sultry bedrooms in our original building.
And while they may be petite compared to other bedrooms and suites (although anyone who is lucky enough to get room 66 is in for a surprise in the bathroom), our design-led classic rooms still punch well above their weight when it comes to amenities.
Plumped up pillows, 300-thread count Egyptian cotton bed linens, hi-tech in-room entertainment, your own dedicated WiFi port, designer toiletries, a Nespresso coffee machine…some hotels might consider these high-end additions, but these are all things our guests deserve as standard.
So, go on…treat yourself. We promise a stay at The Chester Hotel will be an absolute classic.
