Unmasking the Scottish Spectacle: Burns Night at The Chester Hotel

Celebrate Poetry, Passion, and a Perfect Excuse to Party

A Scottish Soiree to Remember

Ladies and gentlemen, gather round, for we have an event that promises to be the highlight of your (new) year - Burns Night at The Chester on Friday 26 January 2024.

But hold your haggis for a moment; for those unacquainted with this Scottish extravaganza, let us walk you through what a Burns Supper truly is.

The Poetry of the Ploughman Poet

In case you've been living under a rock in the Cairngorms, Robert Burns, the Ploughman Poet, gave us poetry that's as sweet as a dram of fine malt. Burns Night is a tribute to his genius - a night of reciting his verses and celebrating his contribution to literature. If you're not well-versed in his works, don't worry, you can fake it 'til you make it.

Bagpipes and Ceilidh Rouge - The Musical Medley

We're not just about words here! Our Burns Night celebration boasts both a piper and our Ceilidh Rouge band. The piper will make all the Scots in the room misty eyed and Ceilidh Rouge will get your toes tapping and your kilts swinging. It's a musical medley that will make you want to dance the night away.

The Menu - A Scottish Culinary Adventure

Now, let's address the pièce de résistance - the food. Our menu is a gastronomic journey through the heart of Scotland.

We begin with the traditional Cock A Leekie Soup, followed by the iconic Haggis Neeps and Tatties, smothered in whisky sauce of course. Vegetarians, don't despair; we have a haggis alternative that'll leave you just as satisfied.

And for dessert, you'll be serenaded by Cranachan Cheesecake, topped with honey and oats, and finally, a taste of the Bard in every bite along with tea, coffee, and tablet - the sweetest treat this side o' the Border.

One Night Only

Now, you might be wondering, "Is this a once-in-a-lifetime event?" Indeed, it is… at least until January next year … And for £59.50 per person, you can experience a night of poetry, passion, and partying like a true Scotsman or Scotswoman. After all, it's a small price to pay for a night of revelry you'll never forget.

An Evening of Scottish Splendour

In a nutshell, our Burns Night celebration at The Chester Hotel is more than just a fancy dinner. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Scottish culture. It's a night where you can raise a glass to the man who gave us poetry, passion, and the perfect excuse to party.

So, don your tartan, dust off your Skean Dhu, and come join us for a Scottish soirée that promises to be a memorable celebration.

Be sure to book your spot, as we have limited space, and you wouldn't want to miss out on a night of true Scottish tradition.
