Executive Chef Kevin Dalgleish is also named ‘Head Chef of the Year’ in industry awards
Aberdeen’s luxury hotel, The Chester Hotel, was named ‘Boutique Hotel of the Year’ and IX Restaurant’s executive chef Kevin Dalgleish was named ‘Head Chef of the Year’ at last night’s Prestige Hotel Awards 2017.
Voted by the public, the inaugural Prestige Hotel Awards aims to showcase and reward outstanding service within Scotland’s hotel industry. The Chester Hotel and its culinary team have now been awarded over 20 accolades since opening in 2012, plus two AA Rosettes and a recommendation in the Michelin Guide for fine dining IX Restaurant. These awards follow on from Kevin’s participation in BBC Two’s MasterChef: The Professionals where he reached the quarter finals in 2016.
The Chester Hotel comprises 50 bedrooms, including two luxurious suites, which are individually designed featuring contemporary décor, stylish amenities and the latest technology. The multi-award winning IX Restaurant team is overseen by executive chef Kevin Dalgleish, and specialises in fresh fish, shellfish and quality steak dishes. Only the freshest, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients are used to ensure each dish reflects their signature cooking style.
